It seems like just yesterday when Friendship House celebrated the end of the school year, preschool graduations, and the beginning of summer. Now, the days are starting to become shorter, the evenings cooler, and the beginning of fall is just around the corner. With the beginning of fall comes the start of the school year, and Friendship House staff are starting to prepare to welcome children in the upcoming week.
We are so excited to see the bright, smiling faces of the children as they return to school. This year, they will continue to grow in the classroom and learn more about themselves. We are especially excited to welcome our preschoolers experiencing school for the first time. Here, they will learn about shapes, colors, letters, how to be a good friend, and more. They will make huge strides and grow to become school ready, thanks to you!
As the Friendship House completes their end of summer cleaning, staff begin fall training, and teachers refine their lesson plans, we are reminded of the exciting times ahead. We are especially grateful to our donors and volunteers ensuring these children have the best start. Because of your monetary support, our children will have new school supplies, healthy food to eat, and a safe space to learn and grow. Additionally, our mission would not be possible without the tireless support from our volunteers preparing and serving meals, helping complete our garden project, and helping our students thrive in the classroom.
Most importantly, your efforts help children hear the Good News of Jesus Christ. With His love, these children will be able to thrive long after they leave Friendship House. Thanks to you, we give children hope for a brighter future.
