“Let us not grow weary of doing good…” – Galatians 6:9 (ESV)
As the Easter season approaches and fresh signs of spring emerge, we challenge kids (and families!) to join us for a season of Acts of Kindness!
Our goal is simple: to help children put their faith into action in small but meaningful ways. Until Easter, we invite our kids and families to focus on one kind act that demonstrates love, patience, generosity, or encouragement — the very fruit of the Spirit taught in Galatians 5:22 – 23.
As our children take part in these simple, spirit-led actions, they’re not just learning to be “nice”—they’re learning to be intentional about loving others the way Jesus loves us. Each act of kindness opens a door for conversation about serving others joyfully. We also use these moments to remind them that kindness is a way of life that reflects the heart of God.
Some of our weekly challenges include:
- Writing a thank-you note to a teacher or parent
- Sharing a toy or game with a friend
- Picking up litter around the neighborhood
- Saying a prayer for someone in need
- Giving a compliment that brightens someone’s day
We believe kindness is contagious, and these little acts can create ripples reaching far beyond our program walls. Families are encouraged to join in at home and talk about how even the smallest good deed can reflect the love of Jesus.
Let’s make April a month filled with kindness, compassion, and Christ-like love! 💛
Have a story or photo from the challenge? We’d love to hear it! Send it to outreach@billingslf.org, or tag us on social media with #FHKindnessChallenge.
